    Willard Smith II is known as 'Fresh Prince'.  He got this name in 1985, but it started when he was in 8th Grade.  His teacher nicknamed him 'Prince' because he always charmed his way out of trouble.  Then, in 1985, the new hip - slang was 'Fresh'.  Also he took the 'Fresh' and the 'Prince' and he became 'Fresh Prince'

    Will now lives in Burbank.  He is married to Jada Pickett who is an actress.  They married on 31st December 1997.  Will has two sons.  One with Jada, called, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith who was born 7th August 1998 and the other with his ex - wife, Sheree Zampino, called, Willard C. Smith III, who is nicknamed Trey.  He was born December
1992.

    Will was the second of four children.  His parents, Caroline, who worked for school board and Willard Smith Sr. who was an owner of a refrigerating company but later became an engineer had 2 daughters and two sons including Will. The eldest of the four is Pam, who was born 1964, and then Will in 1968 and then twins; Elle and Harry were born in 1971.

      Will first became famous when he met Jeffrey Aaron Townes when he was 12.  They soon started performing together as DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince and in 1987, when Will was 18, they released their first album called 'Rock the House'.  This was the first of five albums they released before they broke up. Then seven years later they released 'Greatest Hits' with extended versions, re-mixes, the theme from 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel - Air' and two previously unreleased tracks, Lovely Daze and Mega mix.

    Will wrote the film, 'Love For Hire' and produced the film, 'The Mark' which is due to be released in the
year 2000.  He is clearly a man with many talents!

    In 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel - Air', Will is the main character and his name is the same.  He moves from 'Philly' to Bel - Air, where he is told that he will learn some 'good old fashioned values' from his successful relatives.

    Will still raps, but as a solo artist.  His first solo album is called, 'Big Willie Style' with 17 excellent tracks on it.  The singles he has released from this album have reached high in the UK Charts as well as the US Chart.  His other album that has been recently released is called Willennium has 15 tracks on with the help of DJ Jazzy Jeff as an executive producer along with Will himself.
